Scotty Huber, a watercolor artist, has been an active member of the visual arts community since moving to Northern Virginia in 1963. Her fluid, personal style of expression reflects a great sensitivity and spirit and a lifetime devotion to the spontaneity of watercolor painting. She prefers to work on location in order to capture the immediacy of her subject and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and the United States.
A native of North Carolina, she earned a B.A. degree in Art History from George Washington University and has continued to study painting at the Art League School in Alexandria, and in workshops with nationally recognized artists.Flowers on Blue
After many years as an arts administrator, Scotty has returned to painting full-time. Her work has been accepted and won awards in juried shows throughout Virginia and can be found in numerous private collections. She is an artist member of the Virginia Watercolor Society and exhibits at the Art League Gallery in Alexandria, and in Southwest Florida.
